Subject Headings Manual

Want to know why the Library of Congress constructs a subject heading a certain way? You'll find the reasoning in the Subject Headings Manual.  These volumes are housed in our Technical Services Department although anyone needing to use them may do so in the library. The SUDOC number is LC 26.8:4. We have recently received update no.2 from December 2011. As updates are received, the pages are interfiled in the manuals.
